What we do
Driver recruitment is its own discipline. The pool is small, the qualifications are regulated, and a bad hire is a safety and insurance problem, not just a staffing one. Assured has recruited drivers for carriers and private fleets in the GTA since 2017, and we are members of the Ontario Trucking Association.
Our driver placements cluster where the freight is: the intermodal corridors of Brampton and Vaughan, the terminals around Pearson, the Hamilton airport cargo lands and the 401 corridor through Durham. City pick-up and delivery, shunt and yard work, regional and highway runs, and last-mile delivery in straight trucks and cargo vans.
Every driver we introduce has had their licence class and expiry, driver's abstract, training history and work record verified. Where the lane is cross-border, we confirm passport or FAST-card eligibility and drug-and-alcohol testing compliance before the interview, not after.

AZ highway and regional drivers
Tractor-trailer drivers for Ontario, Quebec and cross-border lanes. Dry van, reefer, flatbed and intermodal experience on file.

Local P&D for LTL and dedicated accounts, with dock and tailgate experience and clean urban driving records.

Class, endorsements and expiry confirmed; air-brake (Z) endorsement checked for AZ and DZ roles.

Three-year abstract reviewed against your insurer's thresholds for demerits, suspensions and convictions.

Mandatory Entry-Level Training (MELT) confirmed for drivers licensed since 2017; equipment and lane experience verified with previous carriers.

Frequently asked
Do you supply drivers on a temporary basis?
Yes. Temporary AZ, DZ and shunt drivers are on our payroll and WSIB, and drive under your CVOR and insurance as with any agency driver. We confirm your insurer's requirements before the first dispatch.
How do you verify a driver's record?
Licence class and status, a three-year driver's abstract, MELT completion for newer drivers, and previous-employer verification of equipment and lanes. For cross-border work we also confirm passport or FAST-card status and drug-and-alcohol testing compliance.
What do AZ drivers earn in Ontario?
Pay is set by each client. Across our placements, city and shunt AZ drivers typically run $26 to $34 an hour, DZ drivers $22 to $28, and highway drivers are usually paid by the mile, commonly $0.55 to $0.75 per mile plus accessorials.
Can you recruit drivers outside the GTA?
Yes. Hamilton, Durham, Waterloo Region and London are within our service area, and highway drivers are recruited province-wide.
