About the role
The work
Office and administrative roles are the second-largest category we fill after warehousing, and the one where temporary work most often becomes permanent. Employers use temporary coverage for leaves, vacations and projects, and when the temp is good they keep them.
The work ranges from front-desk reception and data entry to executive support, customer service, accounts and HR administration, across technology and insurance head offices in Markham, financial and legal firms downtown, logistics and manufacturing operations in Peel and York, and institutional offices in Durham and Hamilton.
We test every office candidate for typing and the Microsoft 365 applications, confirm the systems on your resume, and take professional references. That is what lets us put you forward with confidence, and what gets you a start date.

A typical shift
What an office day looks like
Office roles run standard business hours, typically 8:30 or 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with some customer-service and dispatch-support roles on afternoon or weekend rotations. Many temporary assignments are on site; hybrid arrangements are more common for permanent roles once you are established.
Reception is phones, visitors, couriers and meeting rooms, with administrative tasks in between. Administrative assistants manage calendars, correspondence, documents and travel. Data-entry and order-desk roles are focused, high-accuracy keying into CRM or ERP systems. Customer service is inbound calls, email and chat, tracking orders and solving problems. Accounts roles process invoices, payments and reconciliations to a month-end schedule.
Dress codes range from business casual in operations offices to business formal in some downtown firms. Your recruiter will tell you what to expect at each site.
