Markham is where Assured started in 2017 and where our recruiters sit. The city is unusual. It carries one of the largest clusters of technology and corporate head offices in Canada along Highway 404 and Highway 7, and, in Milliken Mills and along Denison Street and Steeles Avenue, a substantial belt of warehousing, import distribution, electronics assembly and food manufacturing.
So the roles we fill in our own city run from forklift operators and shippers at the Steeles–Kennedy distribution buildings to data entry, reception, customer service and accounts staff for insurance, automotive and technology head offices in Markham Centre and along Woodbine Avenue.

Getting to work in Markham
Viva Purple and YRT route 1 run along Highway 7 through Markham Centre; Viva Green and the 24 Woodbine link the 404 office corridor to Don Mills station; the TTC's 53 Steeles East serves the Milliken Mills industrial area from Finch station. The Stouffville GO line stops at Milliken, Unionville, Centennial, Markham and Mount Joy.
Milliken Mills is the easiest industrial area in York Region to reach without a car: Milliken GO and the Steeles buses put most sites within a ten-minute walk. The 404 office parks are harder off-peak, though Viva covers weekdays well.
By car, the 404, 407 and Highway 7 put Richmond Hill, Vaughan and north Toronto within 20 minutes.
