Getting to work in Oshawa and Durham
Durham Region Transit's PULSE 900 runs the length of Highway 2 from Scarborough through Pickering, Ajax and Whitby into Oshawa, and the 901 Simcoe runs north–south through Oshawa to Durham College. GO's Lakeshore East line stops at Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa, with GO buses onward to Bowmanville.
Industrial sites south of the 401 in Oshawa and Whitby are reachable from the GO stations by DRT local routes and on-demand service. Sites north of Taunton Road and in Clarington are car-dependent. Most Durham workers drive, and parking is free everywhere.
From Scarborough and Markham, Oshawa is 35 to 45 minutes by the 401 or the 407 and 412 outside rush hour.
