What we do
Trades are the hardest roles in our book to fill well, and the most expensive to fill badly. A welder who cannot pass your procedure test costs a day of a supervisor's time. A CNC operator who scraps a run costs more. So our trades desk works differently from general staffing: fewer candidates, more verification, and a practical test at your shop before an offer.
The bulk of our trades work is in the fabrication and millwork belt of Woodbridge and Concord, the metals and industrial suppliers of Hamilton, automotive-supply plants in Brampton and Durham, and maintenance departments in food and packaging plants across the GTA.
Ontario's compulsory trades, such as electricians and plumbers, are placed only with a valid Certificate of Qualification. For voluntary trades such as millwright, welder and machinist, we verify Red Seal or provincial certification where the candidate holds it and test the skill directly where they do not.

Positions
- 01
CNC operators and set-up
Mills, lathes and routers; Fanuc, Haas, Mazak and Siemens controls; blueprint reading and basic programming edits.

Welders and fitters
MIG, TIG, flux-core and stick; CWB tickets to CSA W47.1 and W59 verified; structural, sheet and pipe.

Millwrights and maintenance mechanics
Preventive and breakdown maintenance on production equipment, conveyors and packaging lines. 433A where held.

Machinists and press operators
Manual and CNC machining, stamping and brake presses, tooling changes.
- 05
Woodworkers and cabinetmakers
Millwork, kitchens, furniture and store fixtures: cutting, assembly, finishing and installation.

Trades helpers and apprentices
Registered apprentices and experienced helpers for electrical, mechanical and fabrication crews.

How we screen tradespeople
Verification first, then a practical. We do not send resumes.

Certificates of Qualification, Red Seal, CWB tickets and apprenticeship registration confirmed with the issuing body.

Practical test at your shop
Weld tests, set-up tasks or a supervised shift on your equipment, arranged before an offer.

Working at Heights, lockout/tagout, WHMIS, confined space and forklift where the role needs them.

Frequently asked
Do you place compulsory trades such as electricians?
Only with a valid Ontario Certificate of Qualification or registered apprenticeship, verified with Skilled Trades Ontario. We will not place an uncertified person in a compulsory trade.
Can you arrange a weld test before we commit?
Yes. We schedule the candidate at your shop for a procedure test, and you decide after. There is no charge if they do not pass.
What do trades roles pay in the GTA?
Pay is set by each client. Across our placements, CNC and machine operators typically run $22 to $32 an hour, welders $24 to $34, millwrights and maintenance mechanics $30 to $42, and helpers $19 to $24.
How long does a trades search take?
Helpers and operators with common skills, a few days. Ticketed welders, millwrights and set-up operators, one to three weeks depending on the shift and the specialty.
