Forklift operator work in Brampton
Forklift work in Brampton is dock and reach-truck heavy. Along Highway 410 and Steeles Avenue, retail and grocery distribution centres run counterbalance on the docks and reach trucks in the racking, on all three shifts. Around Airport Road and the CN intermodal terminal, transload and container warehouses need counterbalance and clamp operators for unloading, and yard experience is a plus.
Reach-truck and order-picker certified operators are the shortest supply in Brampton and command the top of the $20 to $26 range, with freezer sites paying more. Züm 511 along Steeles and Bramalea GO cover many day-shift sites; night shifts generally need a car or a carpool.

Forklift operators are the workers our clients ask for most. Every distribution centre, freight terminal and manufacturing plant needs people who can move product safely and quickly, and a certified operator with a clean record and a good attendance history can choose between sites.

Getting there
Getting to work in Brampton
Most Brampton warehouse sites sit on or near a Züm express corridor: the 511 along Steeles Avenue, the 505 along Bovaird Drive and the 501 along Queen Street. From Toronto, the Kitchener GO line stops at Bramalea, Brampton and Mount Pleasant, and Bramalea GO is a short bus ride from the Steeles and Airport Road employment lands.
Night and weekend shifts are harder. Züm frequency drops late in the evening and some industrial roads have no service after midnight. We ask about transportation before placing anyone on a night shift, and many of our long-term Brampton workers carpool from Malton, Bramalea and Springdale.
Driving is straightforward: parking is free at essentially every site, and the main delays are Airport Road, Torbram Road and the 410 between three and four in the afternoon when the day shift lets out.

Can I get a forklift job without a certificate?
Rarely. Employers need proof of training before you operate. If you have warehouse experience but no ticket, we can point you to a training provider, and some clients will train workers they have already hired as general labour.
Which forklift class pays the most?
Reach truck and order picker generally pay more than counterbalance because narrow-aisle and at-height work is harder to staff. Operators certified on all three have the most options.
How quickly can I start?
Once your certificate and references are verified, often within a few days. Forklift roles are in constant demand across Brampton, Mississauga and Vaughan.
